Co-production and distribution company About Premium Content (APC) has reorganised its shareholding to accelerate its strategic growth through access to further resources.
As a result, APC founders Emmanuelle Guilbart and Laurent Boissel retain a significant majority of the company, while also being supported by a pool of financial investors including newcomer Alliance Entreprendre.
Paris-based private equity firm Alliance Entreprendre (Natixis Groupe) is now a key investor and financial partner, with Nevision remaining a shareholder and significant long-term financial and co-production partner.
APC is looking to further expand its business into the development, financing and distribution of high-end TV shows across drama, kids and documentary. The company’s strategy will be to co-produce more international drama and scripted series and also grow its portfolio of English-language series.
Laurent Boissel Joint-CEO and Co-Founder at APC says: “Our aim from inception has been to establish ourselves as a global independent, boutique company with the financial and creative capability of developing, financing and selling quality programming with international appeal. The completion of the new financial structure means we now have the resources to accelerate the execution of this strategy.”
The company’s drama slate currently includes acclaimed series such as new Spanish-language drama from Movistar Studios Gigantes; Vox Pictures break-out English-language hit series Keeping Faith (S4C/BBC), Dutch-noir crime thriller Fenix (KPN) and returning Swedish crime thriller Alex (ViaPlay).
