With Brand Licensing Europe just around the corner, Aardman has announced new licensing deals for global brand Shaun the Sheep and classic property Wallace & Gromit across a host of core categories.
The licensor has agreed a new partnership with Aurora to produce plush items for Shaun the Sheep brand and the much anticipated feature film sequel Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon. The deal spans multiple territories including UK, France and North America with lines being showcased at the upcoming trade fairs in Hong Kong, UK and Germany in January 2019.
Rob Goodchild, Head of Licensing at Aardman says: “It’s an obvious partnership between two creative businesses with a global reach. We look forward to working with the Aurora team to bring high quality plush toys and accessories to some of our key markets.”
During a busy summer, Aardman also signed a number of new UK licensees through its agent Start Licensing across both the Shaun the Sheep and Wallace & Gromit brands. These include Ideal Home Shopping for create and craft items, Teddy Mountain for Build your own Shaun plush, Blackbird for costume jewellery, Beams for composite gifting, Artland for art prints, Wentworth for wooden puzzles, Aptec and Jardinopia for garden ornaments, and Signature Gifts for personalised books and giftwares.
Alongside this, Aardman has recruited both TDP and Dreamtex to create nightwear and bedding respectively, based on the Sheep Dreams sleep themed style guide.
The studio will be exhibiting at Brand Licensing Europe this month, come and visit the team at stand B30.
