Caterina Gonnelli has joined Xilam Animation as EVP, Content, teaming with current EVP, Content Jean Brune to oversee the studio’s rapidly growing slate of projects.
Formerly Director of Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Disney Channels EMEA, Caterina joins Xilam;s Paris office on 13 January, reporting to CEO Marc du Pontavice. She is charged with overseeing all editorial aspects of Xilam’s content and will look to further increase the company’s content line-up.

Such invaluable expertise will boost Xilam’s response to a very fast-growing market towards premium kids’ content.”
Caterina joins from The Walt Disney Company, which she joined in 2012 with an initial remit focused on local acquisitions and productions for the French market. Her role expanded over the years to include multi-territory pre-buys and co-productions across the EMEA region for Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.
Prior to that, she held positions including Development Executive and Creative Producer at independent French production companies.
