Katie Wilson joins in newly created role to oversee content curation and editorial direction for the company’s various channels and video on demand

WildBrain Television appoints new VP Channels and Curation thumbnail

Katie Wilson has been appointed as the Vice President, Channels and Curation at WildBrain Television, a newly created position giving her oversight of content curation and editorial direction for the company’s various family channels and video on demand.

Based in Toronto, Katie joins WildBrain from Corus Entertainment, where she served as Director of Programming, Kids for the past six years. She will report to Deirdre Brennan, Executive Vice President of Content Partnerships at WildBrain, who says: “Katie has a remarkable track record in delivering successful content and platform strategies and this expertise, combined with her talent for building strong teams and partnerships, will make her a vital part of the content management team at WildBrain Television.

“I look forward to working closely with Katie to drive viewer engagement for our channels as we continue delivering best-in-class programming for Canadian families.”

Central to her role, Katie will spearhead WildBrain Television’s content acquisition and original production programme. Working closely with WildBrain’s global content, distribution and brand teams, she will also provide strategic insights for the company’s core business of creating entertainment for kids and families worldwide.
