Silvergate Media’s latest series Monkey with a Tool Belt is heading to china in a new agreement with China-based Wanda Kidsland.
The deal is an extension of Silvergate and Wanda Kidsland’s long-running partnership, which brought Silvergate’s beloved property Octonauts to Web TV in China, where it racked up more than 30 billion views.
Wanda Kidsland will expand Monkey with a Tool Belt across China through TV distribution, tie-in publishing, licensed consumer products and live attractions to establish the property in the region and bring it to a whole new fanbase.
“It is exciting to be able to build upon and extend our successful partnership with Wanda Kidsland with Monkey with a Tool Belt,” says Ron Allen, Executive Vice President, Commercial at Silvergate Media. “We look forward to bringing this STEM-focused series to screens, Education Centres and retail shelves with the help of the market leader in China and strong advocate for the very best in children’s entertainment.”
Based on the best-selling book, Monkey with a Tool Belt is a STEM educational platform. This 40 x 11-episode series, aimed at kids aged three to six, focuses on education through the actions of lead character Chico Bon Bon and his Fix-it Force in the city of Blunderberg.
