An ensemble of global music stars have joined the cast for DreamWorks’ Trolls sequel, including Ozzy Osbourne, Mary J. Blige and Kelly Clarkson.
Trolls World Tour, the follow up to the 2016 original, revolves around the adventures of main characters Poppy (Ana Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake) as they embark on a quest to unite six Troll tribes against impending doom.
Each tribe represents a different genre of music, hence Ozzy Osbourne repping metal as King Thrash – an upgrade from his Prince of Darkness moniker – Mary J. Blige in the land of funk and Kelly Clarkson heading up the country music trolls.
Other music stars joining the movie include Anderson Paak, Anthony Ramos, Charlyne Yi, Sam Rockwell and SNL star Kenan Thompson.
The stars were unveiled with a new trailer soundtracked by Ozzy’s Crazy Train and The Scorpion’s glam metal classic Rock You Like a Hurricane.
Trolls World Tour will also feature original music from Justin Timberlake, whose song Can’t Stop the Feeling from Trolls dominated the charts and earned an Oscar.
Directed by Walt Dohrn, Trolls World Tour headlines cinemas from 17 April 2020.
