Studio 100 Media’s forthcoming animated series 100% Wolf – Legend of the Moonstone has been the talk of MipJunior and the most-screened series at this year’s show.

The comedy-adventure series tells the story of Freddy Lupin, heir to a proud family line of werewolves who has a shock when his 13th birthday arrives and his first transformation goes awry, turning him into a ferocious poodle.

Martin Krieger, CEO at Studio 100 Media, says: “What makes ‘100% Wolf – Legend of the Moonstone’ special is its hilarious and dramatic concept about a boy trying to find his way in a challenging world - one in which he is an outsider. He is a pink poodle in a world of werewolves.

“This guarantees a lot of laugh-out-loud humour – not leaving out the difficulties our hero Freddy has. That makes 100% Wolf a unique, action-adventure, best friend comedy with a very distinctive main character and a strong message with high social relevance: heroes come in many forms!

“We are thrilled with the response from this year’s screening and look forward to ‘100% Wolf’ being a ‘howling’ hit with kids worldwide.”

 The series is the latest animated project from Studio 100’s Flying Bark Productions, based on the Australian book of the same name by Jayne Lyons. The 26 x 22’ series is aimed at kids aged six to 10.

ABC, Australia and Super RTL, Germany, are commissioning broadcasters for the series, and a host of top licensees such as Ravensburger and Sony Music are already on board.
