CBeebies and BBC Worldwide have commissioned a second series of the action adventure pre-school animation Go-Jetters.

The re-booking follows the success of the first series, which has sold to over 90 territories around the world, including ABC Kids Australia, RTE Eire, France Televisions, and Treehouse Canada.

Commissioned by CBeebies Controller Kay Benbow and BBC Worldwide Director of Children’s Content Henrietta Hurford-Jones, series two will see the production of 50 new episodes and a 22 minute special.

Kay said: “Our audience loves travelling to far off places in the company of the Go Jetters and I know they can’t wait to see what new adventures are in store during the next series.”

Launched on CBeebies in October in 2015, this action packed comedy adventure follows the Go Jetters -  Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz - as they travel the world with their teacher, mentor and friend Ubercorn, a funky disco-dancing unicorn righting the wrongs of the mischievous Grand Master Glitch.

Henrietta Hurford-Jones, added: “Go Jetters is unique combining geography, action and comedy in strong character led narrative. We’re thrilled that our audiences and partners across the world are passionate about our funky heroes too. Series two will see our intrepid team continue their journey of discovery around the Globe as well as introduce us to the Go Jet Academy.”

In the UK, Go Jetters was has since received over 18.5 million requests on iPlayer and reached a cumulative linear audience of 10 million viewers.
