Frozen fans have been given their first full look at Frozen 2 – stylised II – in a new trailer released today by Disney.

The two-minute video shows Elsa battling her inner demons and cascading waves as she strikes out on a journey with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven to save the kingdom.

Disney’s official synopsis says: “Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In Frozen, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen 2, she must hope they are enough.”

The movie releases this November and features the returning voice talent of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad.

Disney also unveiled a new poster:

Frozen II will cap off a massive year for Disney and its studios. Already the company has broken records with Avengers: Endgame, and has Toy Story 4, Aladdin and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, among a number of other releases, still to open.
