Dragon Ball Super is making its free-to-air debut in the UK this summer with kids’ channel Pop.
The series will begin airing hot on the heels of the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie, a surprise hit at the UK box office pulling in £1m – the second highest performance for an anime in the territory.
Dragon Ball Super launches on POP on 1 July, airing every weekday at 7pm.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly was a hit at the UK box office
Craig Hunter, SPTN’s Head of Kids’ Networks, UK, says: “We are thrilled that Dragon Ball Super will kick off a summer of super entertainment on Pop. This classic show is an excellent addition to the channel’s extensive content catalogue, and we look forward to expanding our offering even further in 2019.”
Dragon Ball Super reconnects fans with their favourite characters while introducing plenty of fresh storylines. The action picks up following the defeat of the evil Buu by Goku and his friends. But their peace and happiness is short-lived when Beerus, the God of Destruction, comes to challenge them.
