DHX Media has unveiled Kids Room, its new subscription-based video streaming service that will launch this summer in partnership with Comcast.
Kids Room will debut this summer on Comcast’s Xfinity X1 streaming box. The service will be ad-free and cost $4.99, giving families access to hundreds of episodes of DHX’s top-rated children’s series, from pre-school favourites Bob the Builder and Teletubbies to popular shows for older kids such as Slugterra and Angela Anaconda.
Other shows available on the service will include In The Night Garden, Fireman Sam, Polly Pocket, Strawberry Shortcake, Kid vs. Kat, Chuck’s Choice, Endangered Species, Storm Hawks, and Sabrina: The Animated Series.
“Kids Room is a new offering for DHX Media, and we are delighted Comcast’s Xfinity customers will be among the first to enjoy it,” says Joe Tedesco, EVP and GM, DHX Television.
“As one of the world’s leading producers and owners of children’s content, we see Kids Room as a natural touchpoint to entertain kids with great programming in the expanding landscape of streaming opportunities. We’ve selected some really fun shows for the service from our deep content library, and we’re confident children are going to love Kids Room.”
