TOTY award nominations now open! thumbnail

The Toy Association’s annual Toy of the Year awards are now open.

Known as the "Oscars" of the toy industry, the Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards are presented annually to the top toys, games, and properties of the year. Administered by The Toy Association, the awards programme supports the philanthropic work of The Toy Foundation, which delivers new toys to children in need.

Finalists in the toy, game, and licence categories will be revealed in the week of 26 October 2020. One winner in each category, as well as the coveted “Toy of the Year” award winner and the “People’s Choice” winner (based solely on consumer votes), will be announced at a dazzling TOTY Awards gala on 12 February 2021. The celebration will kick off the 119th North American International Toy Fair, and include the induction of toy industry trailblazers into the esteemed Toy Industry Hall of Fame.

Companies are invited to submit their toy, game, and property nominations across 16 categories.

The nomination fee is $95 per nomination for members and $145 per nomination for non-members.

The submission period will close at 23:59 (Eastern) on Wednesday 2 September 2020.

Full category descriptions, product nomination details, and finalist selection information can be found on the TOTY website.

For more information, please visit the TOTY website or email toty@toyassociation.org.
