Spin Master has signed a new deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to produce licensed toys based on DC superhero movies from spring 2020.

Under the three-year agreement, Spin Master will cover the key toy categories for the DC brand, including the boys’ action category, remote control and robotic vehicles, water toys, and games and puzzles.

Ben Gadbois, Spin Master's Global President and COO, calls the deal a “major milestone” for the company’s plans to tap more directly into high-profile licenses to fuel growth. The deal builds on a growing portfolio of licensing partnerships for Spin Master, including its 10-year agreement with Feld Entertainment as the worldwide master toy partner and the soon to be launched line of Monster Jam trucks.

Aquaman

"Children everywhere have been entertained and inspired by DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains for more than 80 years and we're honoured to be a part of that storytelling and imagined play,” Ben adds. “We are looking forward to bringing Spin Master's renowned innovation to the toy line and to sharing more details about this exciting partnership in the new year."

DC’s latest cinema outing with Aquaman has been a resounding success and made waves around the world throughout the Christmas period. The Jason Momoa-fronted superhero flick is well on its way to crossing $900m at the global box office, making it the biggest DC cinematic success since Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.
