Ben Gadbois, Global President, COO and member of the Spin Master board has stepped down after seven years with the company.
During his tenure, Ben helped oversee more than 10 acquisitions, including German plush brand Gund and Swedish app studio Toca Boca, as well as the firm’s 2015 IPO.
His departure is with immediate effect, and is joined by the exit of Bill Hess, Executive Vice President, Global Operations and Chief Information Officer, who will be replaced by Paul Blom as interim Executive Vice President, Global Operations and Technology.
Both leaving executives were praised by Spin Master in a statement for playing “instrumental roles in establishing Spin Master as a diversified global business”.
Spin Master also promoted Tara Deakin, who joined the company in June 2019 as SVP Talent Management, to the new role of Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Chief People Officer of Spin Master.
Ronnen Harary, Spin Master's Co-Founder & Co-Chief Executive Officer says: "We would like to thank both Ben and Bill for their significant contributions to Spin Master's growth over the past seven years. We welcome Paul Blom to the Spin Master leadership team and congratulate Tara on her appointment.”
Anton Rabie, Co-Founder & Co-Chief Executive Officer, adds: “We are thrilled to announce Tara's promotion to Chief People Officer. Tara is a transformational leader who will help position us for the next phase of our growth. Her appointment marks a critical moment in Spin Master's evolution and our recognition of the need to raise the bar in leading, managing and developing our key asset - people."
