Pop star and celebrity mum Stacey Solomon brought Christmas magic to a Smyths Toys Superstore event earlier this month.
The TV personality hosted the toy retailer’s Snow Ball event, switching on the all-important Christmas lights and walking the VIP blue-carpet.
To celebrate the turning on the lights, the event offered a winter wonderland of festive fun for families, with a DJ, face painting and costume character appearances from the likes of Pikachu, Star Wars Storm Troopers and Bernard Bear, mascot of Smyths’ charity partner Great Ormond Street Hospital.
But it’s not Christmas without the white stuff, so Smyths delivered that too. To close out the event, guests were asked to wish for snow and, as if by magic, it filled the car park for a chocolate box crescendo.
“We really wanted to celebrate the magic of Christmas this year and give something back locally to our customers at Staples Corner,” says joint Head of Marketing Sinead Byrne. “It brought absolute joy to see the families faces when it snowed.”
Those who attended the event were treated to a goodie bag packed full of treats, including cozy L.O.L. Christmas jumpers and gifts from Lego, L.O.L. Surprise!, Pokémon Let’s Go and more.
“It has been amazing working with Smyths, which understands the value of great customer experiences, says Katie Peake, Creative Director at Backlash, the agency behind the activity. “Seeing the reactions of the guests to the unexpected moments you’ve been hard at work creating makes you realise why you do this job.”
