Sandrine de Raspide has rejoined her old firm MGA Entertainment as its new General Manager of International Sales and Licensing.
Previously serving as VP of Sales and Licensing at the height of MGA’s Bratz era, between 2002 and 2007, Sandrine will return to lead global licensing programmes for the toy company’s biggest IP.
“It’s great to be back at MGAE,” says Sandrine. “Our future is flush with new partners as we grab hold of the many opportunities before us, and I am thrilled to help lead this charge.”
Based out of the newly-opened MGA campus in California, her efforts will be focused on expanding brands such as L.O.L Surprise! across EMEA, Australia and Latin America, as well as working in tandem with North American licensing head Ratna Kirpal.
Alongside consumer products, Sandrine will also look to develop licensing and sales initiatives that align with MGA’s overall growth categories, building out the company’s content distribution, live experiences, and consumer engagement activities.
Since departing MGA 12 years ago, Sandrine has held senior licensing positions with some of the world’s most recogniseable brands. She was EVP of Marvel Entertainment, prior to its acquisition by Disney, before moving to various leadership roles at Sanrio until 2016. Most recently Sandrine was Senior Vice President at Level-5 abby Hong Kong, the company behind Yo-Kai Watch.
Sandrine will report directly to MGA Entertainment’s CEO Isaac Larian, who says: “I have known Sandrine for many years and I am happy to have her back at MGAE. Her deep knowledge of the international markets combined with her passionate spirit to deliver quality programmes and initiatives will make for exciting international licensing programmes.”
