Toys tied to the hit animated series Oddbods are heading to Walmart Mexico later this month, rolling out at the retailer’s top 280 retail locations.

The launch of the range, which includes Oddbods plush, figurines, vehicles and playsets, follows a slew of TV broadcast, VOD and SVOD partnership deals across the country.

Pauline Hiu, VP Consumer Products LATAM at One Animation says: “Mexico is a highly significant market for us and one in which are we are placing considerable energy and resource. We’re thrilled to announce the commitment from Walmart and from our key broadcast partners in the region, which is reflective of the high calibre of collaborations Oddbods is now attracting on a global scale.”

To celebrate launch, Turner will be airing a series of Oddbods on-air marathons across both its Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels, coupled with digital support on its Mexican site.

‘We’re very excited to be collaborating with One Animation to bring this fantastic show to the next level in Mexico,” says Jaime Jimenez, Content Director at Turner Kids, Mexico & Colombia. The Oddbods have been very well received on both our Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels, so it’s great that Mexican kids now have the opportunity to interact with them off screen too.”
