Licensing will take a more dominant position during next year’s Nuremberg Toy Fair, with greater input from LIMA and a bulkier seminar schedule dedicated to the business of translating IP into toy sales.

The show organiser’s on-going partnership with LIMA will continue through LicensePreview, an exclusive setting that licensors can book to showcase their latest updates with select partners in a private space away from the main showfloor. NBC Universal and Nickelodeon are among the top licensors already booked up for the 2019 preview sessions. LIMA will also have a stand in the foyer of Hall 12.0 for visitors to drop by and learn more about all aspects of licensing.
Panels held between 10.30and 11.30 am on the first three days of the event will further extend the learning opportunities for visitors. Licensing experts will take to the stage to discuss the biggest issues and opportunities in toy licensing.
Leading voices from LIMA will open The LicenseTalks providing a market overview and shed light on licensing basics. A day later, the spotlight will fall on Toys, Technology and Licensing, with Sam Ferguson, VP Global Licensing at Jazwares among the speakers. Friday’s focus will be on The Influence of Entertainment in the Toy Industry, featuring Sebastian Seppelt, Senior Manager Licensing GSA, Nickelodeon/Viacom Consumer Products; Joachim Knoedler, Managing Director Central Europe, CPLG; and Werner Lenznerm, Manager Licensing and Strategic Development at Simba Dickie Group.
