A new animated adventure for Star Wars means new action figures from Hasbro.
The toymaker launched the new toy collection for Star Wars Galaxy Adventures in the US on 1 December.
The first wave of figures features famous faces from the original trilogy, including Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and Darth Vader, each depicted in a similar style to the new animated series. Each 3.5-inch figure comes with its own mini comic book and a QR code for kids to scan and learn more about the characters.
A second wave will follow up next spring with the other characters you might expect: Princess Leia, Han Solo, Yoda and a Stormtrooper.
Star Wars Galaxy Adventures is aimed at the next generation of fans, introducing little ones to the stories and characters of the original trilogy through a series of 90-second short animations. The series made its debut on 30 November, with six episodes landing exclusively on a newly created website and Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.
Hasbro’s toy range will debut in other territories around the world early next year, including at Sainsburys and Asda supermarkets in the UK from February.
