Hasbro has revealed the first images of its Fornite Nerf range, part of a wider toy partnership with the game’s creator Epic Games that it announced back in early September.

The toymaker plans to roll out a number of “Fortnite-inspired play experiences” in the near future, with the Nerf range launching 1 June 2019.

Hasbro says the Nerf Fortnite AR-L blaster is said to be ideal for creating epic Fortnite battles in real life. The design is ripped straight from the game’s cartoon world and boasts rapid-fire motorised blasting and flip-up sights for fans to focus their aim. It will come pre-packed 20 foam darts, half of which will fit at one time in the blaster’s clip.

Monopoly: Fortnite was the first launch in Hasbro’s deal with Epic Games, and it has been a runaway success. Hasbro CEO and Chairman Brain Goldner told CNBC earlier this week that it was already the best-selling line in its fourth quarter.

Hasbro’s Q3 earnings were below Wall Street’s expectations when it filed its financial report earlier this week. The collapse of Toys R Us and an evolving retail landscape, it said, had made its targets unfeasible.
