Minds were blown when FAO Schwarz announced its return for this Christmas – and now Discovery is looking to replicate that with the launch of its #Mindblown STEM toys collection.
The company’s new Discovery Mindblown brand extension will launch at the brand-new FAO Schwarz flagship store at Rockerfeller Plaza in New York next Friday.
Hitting retail just in time for the holiday season, the new Discovery Mindblown Shop at FAO will feature an exciting and innovative line of gender-neutral, STEM-based edutainment toys. The Mindblown range was created with Merchsource and sits on-shelf alongside other favourites from the Discovery kids toy range.
The range features nearly 50 products and draws inspiration from thousands of hours of Discovery’s STEM programming on Discovery Channel and Science Channel, and is supported by Discovery Education’s in-school digital curriculum.
Promising plenty of in-store theatre in a modern science laboratory setting, a sales associate Professor demonstrating the latest in STEM toys and a selfie wall featuring the skyline of NYC juxtaposed with a giant whale breaching the skyline will make the store destination shopping.

A snapshot of the products that the Mindblown Shop will offer include the Toy DIY Train Magnetic Levitation, Toy Solar Vehicle Construction Set, Toy DIY Hydraulic Robotic Arm, Globe 2 in 1 Day and Night Earth, Toy Mini Lab Slime-o-Rama, and Toy Space and Planetarium Projector.
