Numskull is tapping into the popularity of the growing cosplay scene to transform the humble rubber ducky into a unique line of collectables.
The new range, called Tubbz, dresses plastic collectable ducks up as characters from hit games, movies and TV.
Cosplay is the term for hobbyist costume design, where fans make and wear their own outfits based on characters from TV, movies, video games, comic books and other areas of pop culture. The objective for some fans is authenticity, while for others it’s a chance to have fun with characters they love and share their creativity with others, either online or at conventions and other events.
The first wave features characters from hit video game franchises such as Borderlands, Fallout, Destiny, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Street Fighter and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, along with DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings and Ghostbusters.
Officially licensed, the quirky line of duck figurines come dressed as everything from the Joker to Frodo, and Spyro the Dragon to the Ghostbusters. The 9cm figures are made from premium quality PVC to ensure each details is sharp.
