As if by magic (and more than a little hard work behind the scenes) The Harry Potter Shop has landed at Gatwick airport.
Opened in the North Terminal, the new 614 sq.ft store offers a vast array of licensing merchandise for fans to peruse as they prepare to jet off for business or pleasure.
From gifts to clothing, souvenirs to collectables, Gatwick’s latest addition will offer a unique shopping experience for the more than 46 million passengers from around the world who pass through the airport each year.
Rachel Bulford, Head of Retail at London Gatwick said she is “thrilled” to welcome “such a popular and iconic brand” to the airport’s retail mix of shops and restaurants.
Among the winter gifts on offer are Harry Potter Christmas jumpers and a winter accessories set including hat, scarf and gloves. Wizarding World fans can even bag a personalised Hogwarts acceptance letter, mystery flying Snitch or their favourite character’s wand - the ultimate must-have for any aspiring wizard or witch.
“We are so proud to open the newest of our official Harry Potter Shops at Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal,” says Jonathan Sands, Managing Director of The Harry Potter Shop. “Our aim is to create a unique shopping experience, offering the best of what the Wizarding World has to offer.”
Shoppers will also be able to browse and shop a wide selection of the collectables, apparel, accessories, gifts, novelties and souvenirs from the iconic Platform 9¾ shop at King’s Cross Station in London.
