Doors to Funko’s brand new Hollywood flagship store will open next month with a special event.
The store, located on Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles, will open to the public for the first time on Monday, 18 November.
The grand opening event will kick off at 10am, and though it will be free to attend, entry will be subject to availability and ticketed to fans through an online pre-registrations process. Those who are unable to secure their tickets online in advance will still get a chance to visit through a standby line.
Funko’s Chief Executive Officer Brian Mariotti says: “Our team has done a phenomenal job bringing these sets to life. We’re thrilled to now be a permanent fixture in the Hollywood community and look forward to bringing the magic of Funko to the fans, families and entertainment aficionados.”
To promote the opening, Funko is partnering with Alaska Airlines to offer a chance to attend the event. Those selected will receive airfare, accommodations, a gift card, and guaranteed entry to the grand opening.
The Hollywood store will be the second brick-and-mortar retail location for Funko, alongside its original store (pictured top), located at its headquarters in Everett, Washington, which has already become a destination for Pop! enthusiasts.
The 40,000 square-foot store will be packed with life-size Funko statues and immersive sets inspired by some of the biggest pop culture fandoms – perfect for grabbing a snap for Instagram.
