Genius Brands’ Llama Llama brand is entering a number of new markets across Europe, appointing Brandgenuity as the licensing agent for the UK, Ireland, Spain, Hungary, Poland and Romania.
Based on the pre-school book series, and now Netflix series starring Jennifer Garner, Llama Llama already has a strong programme in the US, where PhatMojo (toys), Cuddle Barn (animatronic plush toys), Creative Converting (party goods) and Scholastic (book fairs) are among the licensees.
“Llama Llama has all the ingredients for a licensing hit,” says Teri Niadna, MD at Brandgenuity Europe. “It’s an established property with adorable characters, great stories and engaging story-telling that offers exciting opportunities for our partners in the region.”
More than 20 million Llama Llama books, created by Anna Dewdney, have been sold in eight languages worldwide.
“We look forward to working with Brandgenuity to engage new partners across Europe to develop a robust range of products that will appeal to parents and their children,” adds Genius Brands International’s SVP, Global Consumer Products, Lloyd Mintz, who announced the deal.
