Danilo has picked up the greetings card licenses for Peppa Pig and PJ Masks from Entertainment One, following the liquidation of former licensee Gemma International.
The company already produces the interactive My First Calendar featuring the pre-school properties, under license from eOne, and will now bolster the collection with a range of cards releasing in the fourth quarter 2019.
“We’re thrilled to be able to work with eOne on two of the leading preschool licences in the market,” says Dan Grant, Licensing Director at Danilo.
“The addition of these licences to our existing portfolio gives us an even stronger offering to take to existing and new customers.
“The Danilo studio are already busily creating exciting new greetings card designs to extend the offering on these leading preschool properties. This new opportunity also allows Danilo to build on our existing relationship with eOne.”
Earlier this month, Amscan secured the partyware license for Peppa, and will launch a selection of plates, cups, napkins, decorations and more featuring the pre-school pig.
The license was put out for tender with the closure of Gemma International earlier this year, the now defunct licensee of many pre-school brands in the greetings and party category. Company directors called in PwC to wind up Gemma in June through a CVL.
