WildBrain CPLG has been appointed worldwide licensing agent for British luxury leather goods brand Osprey London.

Founded by British designer Graeme Ellisdon in 1980, Osprey London is best known for its stylish leather bags and accessories for men and women – a favourite of royalty and stars of stage and screen.

With initial focus on the UK market, WildBrain CPLG will extend the brand into new categories across apparel, personal care, footwear, home and gift, with a focus on quality products that reflect the handcrafted ethos and British sense of style for which the brand is known.

“Osprey London is renowned for its great design, quality and sense of style and we look forward to working with best-in-class partners to extend these values into new product areas,” says John Taylor, Managing Director UK & France, at WildBrain CPLG.

“We are excited to welcome such an iconic British fashion brand to our portfolio.”

A move into licensing follows five years of rapid retail growth for Osprey London. The brand’s London flagship store opened in 2014 and showcases the latest leather collections, limited editions and flagship store exclusives, while three rural stores play to its roots in nature. The company also has a successful online and wholesale business, 13 UK outlet stores, and recently established distribution networks across mainland Europe and North America.

Graeme Ellisdon, CEO of Osprey London, adds: “The Osprey London brand has a thriving clientele of loyal fans who appreciate the way our products combine understated luxury with intelligent detail. We’re raring to translate the brand ethos into exciting new categories for our customers.”

The brand has previously collaborated with Ralph Lauren, Paul Smith and Dries Van Noten, and most recently joined forces with Turner Prize-winning artist Grayson Perry to produce a limited-edition handbag collection.
