Former chief executive of ThreeSixty Brands, who spearheaded revival of FAO Schwarz, takes new role

Sequential Brands Group names David Conn CEO thumbnail

David Conn has been named Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sequential Brands Group.

He joins from the same position at ThreeSixty Brands, where he spent the past several years overseeing the brand acquisition of historic toy retailer FAO Schwarz and its return to New York City, alongside its first global expansion into China and Europe.

"David Conn is an innovative, strategic, and entrepreneurial executive with an established track record of building and transforming businesses with strong global consumer brands,” says William Sweedler, Chairman of the Sequential Brands Group. 

“He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the retail sector and strong industry relationships, which will be invaluable to Sequential as we embark on this next chapter.”

Sequential’s brands include wheeled footwear brand Heelys, pop star Jessica Simpson’s lifestyle brand, fashion labels including Joe’s and Ellen Tracey, and fitness brands Gaiam and SPRI.  

David brings more than 25 years’ experience to the role. Before ThreeSixty Brands he was CEO and board member of lifestyle brand True Religion, and prior to that served as President of VF Corporation’s newly formed retail licensed brands division and led VF’s acquisition of premium denim brand Rock & Republic. From 2004 to 2008, he served as Executive Vice President of Iconix Brand Group.
