The company best known for putting licenses on collectable stickers and trading cards taps Bioworld to produce Panini-branded apparel and accessories range for S/S20

Panini to launch own-brand merch thumbnail

Better known for securing licenses for its stickers and trading cards, Panini is launching a range of own-branded merchandise.

Bioworld International has signed a multi-territory, multi-year licensing agreement with the collectable company to develop, manage and distribute Panini-branded apparel and accessories.

Bioworld will draw on an extensive style guide, as well as a wide range of both heritage assets and more modern artwork for a collection that has broad appeal for Panini’s international fan base.

Panini recently launched the retrospective Tabloid sticker collection

“We are glad to announce this business partnership with Bioworld, whose expertise in designing and marketing licensed merchandise is top notch,” says Tony Verdini, Senior Manager Business Development and Partnerships at Panini. “Our objective to work with dynamic, professional and enthusiastic partners capable to translate our brands into iconic products has been fully met with Bioworld.”

Richard Radford Head of Licensing at Bioworld International, adds: “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Panini to be able to produce a range of products for football fans of all ages across Europe. With the continued popularity of the beautiful game, coupled with heritage and collectability of such a brand like Panini, it’s the perfect fit, and I’m looking forward to seeing the complete ranges on shelves soon.”

The resulting ranges will hit stores in spring 2020, with an initial roll out to key markets such as the UK and Ireland.
