IWM announces new partnerships thumbnail
Imperial War Museums (IWM) has unveiled a range of new licensed products, including toys and male gifting items.

In partnership with Smart Fox, IWM will bring a new range of children’s construction sets to its toys and games portfolio. The range will feature the iconic Second World War ship HMS Belfast that led the fleet into D-Day. It also features the Lancaster Bomber, Sherman Tank, Willys MB Jeep and the Hawker Hurricane, all of which can be seen at IWM Duxford, the European centre of aviation history. The sets will offer younger age groups a fun introduction to history and will be exhibited at Spring Fair in February.

Tapping into the existing arts and crafts trend, Smart Fox and IWM also plan to reinvent the Second World War Make-do-and-Mend campaign with a range of craft tins. The crafting sets will take inspiration from IWM’s imagery, posters, designs and popular characters like Mrs Sew-and-Sew.

IWM also welcomes a new signing with Junction 18 and Shruti Designs, a leading supplier of gifts, fashion accessories and home décor. The stylish male gifting range features the exclusive Spitfire Collection with patterns by Hemingway Design. Products include a wash bag, messenger bag, coasters, glasses case, hip flask, glass tray, mug and paper weights. The range will be formally launched at the Junction 18/Shruti spectacular Open Showroom Event from 5–17 March at Bath Road, Warminster, Wiltshire BA12 8PE, when they can then be pre-ordered for September delivery. To attend the Open Showroom Event, contact Junction 18 on 01985 847774 or visit junction18.com.

2018 will mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, with national and international events planned. IWM is commemorating the centenary of the First World War in a number of ways, including through the First World War Centenary Partnership which is leading a five year programme of cultural events across the world.
