New properties and the birthday of its best-loved property is the order of the day for Rainbow this BLE.

Aimed at pre-schoolers two to six - and their parents and grandparents - 44 Cats is the hot new thing. The cartoon comedy features lots of catchy music hits and is rolling out in Italy from Q1 2019.

“In Italy, everyone knows the theme song for 44 Cats and we’re very excited to get it on air and share it with viewers,” says Rainbow’s Alessandra Gabriele, Brand and Retail manager.

The show will air with Nickelodeon to the rest of the world from Q3 next year – and it will be joined by a master toy line from Simba. Chicco, Ravensburger and Clementoni are just some of a wide range of licensees already on-board.

From something new to something very established, Winx Club is unbelievably turning 15 next year with a worldwide release of the TV show’s eighth season, bringing 26 brand-new episodes. The brand will also be brought to life through a live show that mixes the magic of the property with cutting edge holographic technology.

“You really feel like you’re in and part of the show,” says Alessandra. “It’s going to be a massive hit across Europe and Asia – it has all the things fans love: singing and dancing and amazing effects.”

Winx will also be reimagined in a live-action Netflix movie coming in 2020. “That’s for an older, teen and young adult audience – perhaps those who were fans of the animation when they were young,” Alessandra explains. “So we’re really bringing Winx to everyone – and that’s all backed by a global marketing campaign.”

That’s not all the team have up their sleeves for the future, but we’re remaining tight-lipped on that front. Pop by the stand yourself – it is worth your time.
