Bavaria Media named Licensor/Licensing agent of the year, while Paw Patrol scoops top property for second year running

Licensing International Germany winners revealed thumbnail

Licensing International has unveiled this year’s winners of its German licensing awards.

Bavaria Media was named the Licensor/Licensing agent of the year, while the prize for best licensee was split between two winners: Edel Kids and confectioner Ferrero.

Pre-school brand Paw Patrol claimed the Property of the year crown for the second consecutive year, while Katarina Dietrich’s long career shaping some of the top German licensing agents was recognised with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awards took place during the evening of German Licensing Market, a one-day, regional event which took place on 5 November at Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich.

The full list of winners are:

Licensor/Licensing agency of the year: Bavaria Media

Licensee of the year: Edel Kids and Ferrero (2 Winners)

Property of the year: Paw Patrol

Licensed product of the year: BvB Taktiktafel von Ritter Sport

Promotion of the year: Rettet die Bienen mit Biene Maja, Studio 100, REWE

Retailer of the year: Müller

Sports brand of the year: BVB

Digital brand of the year: Fortnite

Corporate/Lifestyle/VIP brand of the year: National Geographic

Newcomer of the year: Baby Shark and ESL Electronic Sports League (joint winners)

Licensing Industry Award: Super RTL

Lifetime Achievement Award: Katarina Dietrich
