Hello Kitty will fly the flag for Team USA during the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer.
Sanrio has teamed with the US Olympic squad for a collection of limited-edition products that will launch this summer, in time for the Games and Sanrio’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
The co-branded product line, developed by Sanrio and Team USA, spans a variety of categories, including apparel, sleepwear, accessories, toys, collectables, gift and novelty items.
Craig Takiguchi, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Business Development at Sanrio, says: “With such a major presence and fanbase in the United States, it’s an incredible privilege to commemorate our Japanese roots by emerging in Tokyo alongside Team USA.
“We hope that our collaboration will inspire future generations of athletes and continue to proliferate worldwide messages of friendship and kindness that the Games create.”
