Day of Licensing, the annual congregation of the German licensing industry, has been postponed over the coronavirus.
Due to take place on 1 April, the event will be pushed backed to a later date.
Peter Hollo, a German consultant to Licensing International and part of the Day of Licensing organising team, says in a LinkedIn post: “We not only bear responsibility towards the industry, we bear responsibility towards society as well. We support every effort to stop infection chains and to protect the people.”
More than 1200 confirmed cases of the coronavirus have been documented in Germany, with two deaths linked to the contagion. The virus has spread to all of the country’s 16 states.
Peter says the decision to cancel has been “fully supported” by the event’s exhibitors.
“Give us the chance to sort out the situation,” he adds. “As soon as we can offer a new date, we will inform you instantly. Thanks so much for your kind understanding.”
Tickets for the 1 April event will be honoured when it is rescheduled later this year.
