Tim Collins has joined the CHF Media Group’s board as a non-executive Director as the company looks to pivot and expand into new areas.
Tim is behind The Brand Director, a consultancy specialising in IP development and exploitation for a range of sectors, including children’s media. Prior to that, he held senior roles at firms including Universal, DreamWorks, HIT, Endemol and DC Thomson.
Adrian Wilkins CEO of the CHF Media Group, says: “Tim has been advising companies in the CHF Media Fund on options for IP development and exploitation and as a result of his accomplishments to date it was a logical move to appoint him to the board.
“The board are delighted to welcome Tim to the company. With his range of experience in developing and managing IP, he is going to be essential to our future plans as we ramp up development and launch new kids shows.”
The CHF Media Group has recently been restructured to simplify the business and will focus on developing and funding new kids projects, as well as being open to international co-productions and a wider range of partnerships.
Tim will be at the Children’s Media Conference this week pitching a number of shows in the CHF Media stable.
“I met Adrian at a prior CMC event and was very impressed with his approach and felt that there is a real opportunity to combine the fundraising skills with a strong development brief to become a much larger player in the kids’ TV marketplace,” he says.
Last month LTW.MEDIA learned that CHF Media Group had shut down CFH Entertainment, the group’s animation arm which is behind animated series such as Daisy & Ollie and Pip Ahoy!
