The former Saatchi & Saatchi man will look to grow FMCG and publishing clients, and develop the agency’s recently launched client marketing division

The Point.1888 has welcomed former Saatchi & Saatchi executive Martin McLaughlin as its new Commercial Manager.

His appointment is the fifth round of expansion at the Point.1888 since December 2018, a seven month period during which the agency’s team has more than doubled from eight to 21.

Martin’s hire will add further expertise in brand partnerships with some of the world biggest brands, having delivered communications and advertising for T-Mobiel, Amazon, Ford and Warner Music, among other. Martin will focus on growing the Point.1888’s FMCG and publishing clients.

With a background in advertising and brand partnership, Martin will also work alongside The Point.1888’s Head of Marketing Sarah Crimes, bringing expertise to developing the agency’s recently launched client marketing and creative division.

McLaughlin began his career in advertising at the globally famous Saatchi & Saatchi, working on many of the UK’s biggest consumer brands. He also launched Love Da Pop in 2010, a popcorn market which secured investment from Dragon’s Den’s Peter Jones and listings in Eaitrose, Easyjet and Superdrug.
