The Point.1888 has welcomed a pair of new faces to the team in newly created roles aimed at supporting brand managers and simplifying the legal documentation process.
Saul Segalov joins the company as Commercial Executive, and will be responsible for supporting The Point.1888’s brand managers day to day. He joined earlier this month, having been attracted to the agency’s approach and its mission to help brands with purpose.
“Licensing is something I have grown up with as my family has been in the industry for many years,” he says. “I was lucky enough to attend my first BLE just weeks ago and saw lots of potential new brands, exciting licensees and new contacts for our existing brands.
“I can’t wait to see them unravel from start through to completion- what can be better than seeing some product sitting on a retailer’s shelf that you have been working on right from the off?”
Lynne Chappel meanwhile, joins as Contracts Manager to support the team by streamlining the legal documentation process. She is no stranger to the licensing industry either, having set up a brand licensing group in the US and led licensing programmes for the Campbell Soup Company and Playboy Enterprises.
She says: “Licensing friends had talked about The Point.1888 and what a great company it is so I reached out to them. As luck would have it, they were looking for someone with my skillset and experience and I love the creative, high energy and collaborative culture here already. It’s amazing to be working with such a strong team of people.”
The appointments are the latest in a string of expansions at The Point.1888 over the past 18 months.
