The Miraculous Ladybug TV phenomenon is stepping off the small screen and expanding across Europe thanks to a strong licensing program in all territories covered by Planeta Junior.

In Spain, Miraculous Ladybug toys from Bandai sold out during the Christmas season and all licensing categories are now covered. Top deals include Panini for stickers, sticker album and official magazine; Air-Val for the perfume line; Planeta for books; Educa Borrás for board games; Safta for back to school products and Cife for the arts and crafts category. In Portugal, K-Stationery is on board for back to school and 2020 Editora will publish books of the series, among others.

Prior to its premiere on Super! in March, the Italian market is getting ready with deals that include Clementoni for puzzles, Nice for make-up toys, and Franco Cosimo Panini for back to school. Gabbiano is on board for accessories and Walcor has signed up for chocolate Easter eggs.

In Greece, Diakakis is planning a range of gifts, accessories and secondary toys, while Chocotime will produce chocolate and confectionary products. In addition, Gim - Giovas is the official partner for back to school and gifts for Greece, Malta and the Balkans, and Stamatis Ioannidis will develop apparel and accessories in Greece and Central and Eastern Europe.

In Central and Eastern Europe the licensing programme includes deals with Trefl for puzzles, Stamatis and Setino for apparel, and Halantex for home textiles. In Poland, Beniamin is the official partner for back to school with Edipresse creating books, while Albatros will publish books in Czech Republic and Total Office is launching back to school products and stationery in Romania.

In Turkey Umit Canta is producing bags and Keskin Color is developing notebooks. Posta is the newspaper promo partner, Zorlu is on board for home textiles and Gizzy Gorup has just launched puzzles. Biber Organizasyon is also developing a mall event during the school holidays by the end of January.

The series is being aired on Disney Channel in all of these territories and will premiere on Super! in Italy in March. It has also been aired on public broadcaster Televisió de Catalunya in Spain since September.

Miraculous Ladybug is co-produced by ZAG, Method Animation, Toei Animation and SAMG, and follows the adventures of Marinette, an apparently normal teenage girl who leads a double life as superheroine Ladybug.
