BBC Studios has partnered up with 8th Wonder on the retail plush license for Only Fools & Horses.

Working closely with the BBC licensing team, 8th has created a range of talking plush of the series’ iconic characters, as well as the Trotter’s Independent Traders van.

Due to launch AW18, interactive plush toy versions of Del Boy, Rodney and Uncle Albert will be available to purchase for the first time from Clintons Cards.

Gary Tyrer, MD at 8th Wonder Ltd says: "Being one of the best comedy series of all time we feel privileged to work with BBC Studios on this iconic range and to bring it to retail for the first time"

The Del Boy plush is a highly detailed 20cm plush, with the character’s trademark shearling jacket and flat cap and comes complete with classic phrases including: “cushty!”, “he who dares, wins!” and “lovely jubbly”.

The second half of the iconic duo, Rodney, is instantly recognisable with its camouflage jacket and tall, lanky body. The 25cm plush comes with trademark phrases, such as “cosmic!”, “my name’s not Dave, my name’s Rodney!”, and “what’s your game, Del?”.

The 20cm Uncle Albert plush completes the Trotter trio, complete with big white beard and classic lines “I fought for free speech!”, “I fought for this country, shot and shell and how they treat ya!”, “fought in the war didn’t I!” and “during the war!”.

Julie Kekwick, Senior Licensing Manager at BBC Studios adds: “We are really impressed with the plush range that 8th Wonder has developed for Only Fools & Horses. Fans of the unforgettable comedy series are going to be thrilled with the results. The range will complement nicely the successful Only Fools & Horses plush toy range we have with Sega which launched in the leisure trade earlier this year.”

Further Only Fools & Horses product from 8th Wonder is currently being developed and is expected to launch SS19.
