London jewellery brand Licensed To Charm has teamed up with Sanrio to create a Hello Kitty jewellery collection in time for the kawaii character’s 45th birthday.

The collection carries a distinct retro aesthetic, and is based on the original 1970s Hello Kitty visual style.

Designs feature Hello Kitty in dungarees, with seven charms in the range tied to some of her favourite things. The charms are: seated Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty face, Kitty’s milk bottle, her bow and handbag, a pile of apples, and a fish in a bowl.

Fans can shop the collection in a variety of ways, either by buying individual charms to combine with their existing jewellery or ready-to-wear combinations on necklaces or bracelets.

Licensed To Charm says the collection “will leave you feeling good and ready to get the Hello Kitty party started”, adding that they’re “must for all Hello Kitty lovers and a great Christmas gift idea for fans of all ages”, launching just ahead of the busy festive shopping season.

The Hello Kitty collection will launch in November, and join a host of other brands reimagined as charms by the company’s artisans, including Beano, Watership Down, Eric Carle, Shaun the Sheep and Wallace and Gromit.
