KFC and Moonpig have teamed up to launch a line of ‘romantic’ Valentine’s Day cards – including a scratch ‘n sniff if the scent of fried chicken is your idea of an aphrodisiac.

Shoppers can choose from eight limited-edition designs for their loved ones, all created by Moonpig, to convey their affection with a Colonel Sanders twist.

Some designs from the fast food restaurant and online card company aim to do all the hard work for you, with captions including “fancy a peck?” or the more risqué and prosaic “wanna cluck?”

Another breath-taking card reads: “I love you (almost) more than…” followed by an image of the Colonel’s signature family bucket meal.

And if all that is too much for those who choose to eat vegan, there’s even something to whet their appetite: a ‘Vegan-tines’ card which ties neatly into KFC’s recently launched Vegan Burger.

The companies will be spreading the love this Valentine’s Day by donating 10 per cent of the proceeds to the KFC Foundation, which bestows grants upon local charities working with young people.
