The classic video game brand has renewed and extended its partnership with licensing agent IMG to include new territories across Europe

Perfect fit: Tetris renews IMG deal thumbnail

The on-going partnership between The Tetris Company and its licensing agent IMG has been declared a perfect fit, and has been renewed and expanded to new territories.

IMG will continue to represent the shape-sorting puzzle game in Asia and will now take over the brand’s licensing programme in Italy and Central and Easter Europe.

Since becoming the Tetris brand’s exclusive Asian merchandise licensing representative, IMG has grown the brand’s lifestyle portfolio to include men’s, women’s and children’s apparel and fashion accessories.

Maya Rogers, president and CEO of Blue Planet Software, sole agent for the Tetris brand, says: “The Tetris brand is having another amazing year, with the celebration of its 35th anniversary, new highly acclaimed game releases, and incredible growth of lifestyle product collaborations which IMG has been instrumental in helping us achieve. We’re very pleased to continue and grow our partnership, and look forward to its continued success.”

Tetris x Uniqlo

IMG and The Tetris Company will continue to prioritise products in apparel and fashion accessories, as well as footwear, home décor, furniture and more. This year, IMG secured the launch of apparel collections in China with GXG and Peacebird, and more recently with AQO Studiospace in Korea. IMG was also instrumental in a deal with global retailer Uniqlo to include Tetris in its The Game Classic Pixels collection.
