Gamers are gearing up for the launch for EA’s next blockbuster video game later this month as Anthem soars into stores.
One of the highest profile video games to launch in 2019 ,Bulldog Licensing has unveiled a series of licensing partners to extend the action-shooter beyond the screen.
Four deals have been signed in total, with Level Up Wear, Rubber Road, Trademark Products and Abysse Corp all coming on board. Each licensee is planning a multi-product range covering apparel, accessories and giftware.
Anthem is set on a world left unfinished by the gods, where a shadowy faction threatens all of humankind. Players join with up to three others for online multiplayer adventures and assemble high-tech, custom exosuits that enable them to explore vast ruins, battle deadly enemies and claim otherworldly artefacts.
“The fact that we are announcing such a number and variety of new partners illustrates the appetite for this highly anticipated game,” says Bulldog Retail Licensing Manager Lindsey Chester. “This is undoubtedly just the start of the licensing programme, as this brand has great potential to build and extend into other categories.”
Anthem aims to engage players for the long-term through online connected services, free updates, new content and events in what is called a games-as-a-service model.
