Hoho and Candy Jar cook up Shane the Chef book thumbnail

Hoho Rights is teaming up with Candy Jar Books to publish a cookery book accompanying its kids’ TV show Shane the Chef.

It’s first book based on the Milkshake! Show, and will be published on 6 November, with pre-orders now live on Amazon.

Helen Howells, Joint Managing Director at Hoho says: “This book is the result of popular demand by our fan base and we’re delighted to be working with Candy Jar Books. Shane’s Let’s Get Cooking! is bright and colourful and its delicious and healthy recipes, are designed to encourage children to learn about food, make healthier choices and develop an interest in and a love of cooking.”

Shane’s Let’s Get Cooking! will contain 20 recipes from the show, with a mixture of quick and easy basics, tasty main meals and desserts presented in a simple manner that makes it accessible for young foodies. The book was created in consultation with the British diabetic Association to ensure every recipe represented the best in fresh, healthy eating.

Shane the Chef launched last April on Channel 5’s kids’ strand Milkshake. The 52 x 11’ series follows the foody adventures of energetic chef Shane and his young daughter Izzy, and is the first-ever CG animated UK commission on healthy eating for kids.
