Dr. Seuss Enterprises, global children’s entertainment company, has announced the expansion of its licensing portfolio in Australia for some of their most popular properties including The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!, Horton Hears a Who!, Fox in Socks and many more.

In addition, building upon their previous success, Dr. Seuss Enterprises will be renewing and amending deals with local Australian licensees Amscan, Lake Press, MJM Australia, and Zak Australia for additional Dr. Seuss merchandise, as well as signing a new deal with Caprice Australia.

New licensed products will span across all categories, including accessories, costumes, activity and colouring books, puzzles, games, kitchenware and home décor.

Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Caprice Australia are partnering for a new licensing deal in Australia for TheCat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! properties. Under this agreement, new apparel collections, available across infants, children’s and adult categories, will include apparel such as t-shirts, tanks, crop tops, hoodies, jackets, pants, jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses and leggings, as well as pyjamas, nighties, onesies, sleep shorts and sleep pants.

As part of a deal renewal, Amscan Australia will be adding new licensed partyware for various properties, such as balloons, party favours, costumes, accessories and bakeware. Similarly, Dr. Seuss Enterprises has amended its current agreement with Lake Press for products such as activity and colouring books, costume kits, deluxe colouring books, baby milestone record books, and Grinch-themed Christmas activity pads.

Dr. Seuss Enterprises will expand its presence in the games and puzzles category with educational and playful products from MJM Australia. With this renewal, Dr. Seuss’s characters will continue to be brought to life on jigsaw puzzles ranging from 24 pieces to 500 pieces, multiple puzzle sets, tower puzzle sets, boxed puzzle sets, memory games and magnetic scribblers. Some of the new licensed products are floor mats and games, including Pres-o-matic, four in a Row, Snakes and Ladders, Find it First, and Hide and Seek Game.

Lastly, Dr. Seuss Enterprises renewed its licensing deal with Zak Australia for home décor and kitchenware products inspired by the vibrant and creative Dr. Seuss universe. New merchandise includes novelty drinkware and kitchenware, mugs, lunch bags, home storage, and kitchen items such as placemats, cutlery, cookie and sandwich cutters, dining products, drink bottles, aprons, chef hats and more. In the home décor category, products include ceramic figurines, children’s room decorations, money banks, picture frames, wall decals, wall prints, snow globes, floor rugs, pillows, wall art and milestone sets.

“Our Australian licensees have done an outstanding job representing the Dr. Seuss brand and we are looking forward to expanding our licensing programmes in one of our top markets,” said Susan Brandt, President of Dr. Seuss Enterprises.
